There are amazing hotels in this region, specially in the Emirates. And it seems to me than is the only logical chois for going on holidays to Middle east. Other areas like South America have a big offer of hostels, apartments, etc but I have never found anything like that in this region. Last year I rented a furnished apartments buenos aires successfully, before that I did the same thing in Brasil, Spain and France; but I couldn´t do it when I went to Bahrein for exmple.
